During the past days a delegation from the Steering Committee of Assoċjazzjoni Wirt il-Kalkara had a meeting with Hon. Dr. Josè Herrera, Minister for National Heritage, Arts and Local Government. Among the topics discussed were the restoration and maintenance of Fort Ricasoli where Hon. Dr. Herrera not only spoke about the initiatives and work currently underway, but sustained his commitment in getting funds to transform this project into a holistic one. The Association pointed out that this plan is in line with its line of thought, and thanked the Minister for his commitment.
Other topics which were also discussed include the national inventory of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage and various projects carried out and projected to be carried out by the Association in Kalkara. The delegation of the Steering Committee thanked Hon. Dr. Herrera for the commitment he showed throughout the discussion.
For the Assoċjazzjoni Wirt il-Kalkara the President Ivan Cauchi, the secretary Duncan Brincat, the Vice-President Nathalie Seguna and the PRO Etienne Camilleri were present.
