During the past days the Project Leader of the Assoċjazzjoni Wirt il-Kalkara Duncan Brincat together with the Parish Priest of St. Joseph Parish of Kalkara Fr. Brian Gialanzè visited the local firm Atelier del Restauro laboratories to analyze the ongoing works of the restoration and preservation of the embroidered antependium of the main altar of the same church. Ms. Valentina Lupo, representative of the same firm, explained the necessary steps involved, the processes being followed, whilst showing the newly restored gold thread.
The Assoċjazzjoni Wirt il-Kalkara shall be updating the public with further developments. The project, in collaboration with the Parish of Kalkara, is expected to be completed this year.
